Health and well-being in uncertain times

First and foremost, we acknowledge all our members and supporters who are facing challenging times with the impact the current health crisis is having on you, your families, work places and communities. It is concerning and stressful, and a time when we all need to take care of ourselves and each other to the best of our abilities under the guidance of health professionals.

Our focus at ELA is to ensure we are doing all we can to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus and put the health and well-being of the community at the forefront of our planning.

Our National Office in Melbourne is fortunate to be able to support a working from home policy which was instituted this week and will be in place for the foreseeable future.  Most staff and our volunteers will work from home and any scheduled meetings, including state and territory Action Group Meetings, will be facilitated by teleconference or Zoom.

Online orders for delivery only will continue, they will be processed and posted once a week every Friday. In-store pick up for merchandise orders has now been suspended, if you wish to collect orders already purchased, please call to arrange a time and access to the QVWC building which is currently closed to the public: (03) 9609 6125.

This is now a time to look out for each other, be kind and generous to all, and take care of yourselves.  Whilst all of our fundraising events are now postponed, we will be planning some virtual events and online forums to help keep connected over the coming months.  And we will be working as best we can to assist progressive Labor women to get elected in the future.

Take care,
Maree, Kim, Hiba, Bree, Leigh and Sharon.
